The Marangu Route is the only route on Kilimanjaro with hut accommodation, making it a favorite for those who prefer not to camp in tents. The 6-day itinerary includes an extra acclimatization day at Horombo Huts, significantly improving summit success rates compared to the 5-day version.

- Highest Point: Uhuru Peak (5,895m)

Marangu Route 6 Days
The Marangu Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast and uses the same path for ascent and descent. It is the oldest and most established route, with a gentler slope and comfortable sleeping huts along the way. Though considered one of the easier climbs, it offers less varied scenery compared to other routes due to the same-way descent.
The 6-day version gives climbers a better chance to acclimatize and reach the summit.
