Day 1:

Moshi – Marangu Gate (1,860m) – Mandara Hut (2,720m)

After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel in Moshi to Marangu Gate for registration with Kilimanjaro National Park authorities. After meeting your mountain crew and guide, begin your trek through the lush rainforest zone of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The trail passes through dense forest filled with giant trees, colorful birds, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. After approximately 4–5 hours of hiking, arrive at Mandara Hut.
